Michael Owl is a writer, actor, podcaster, and was co-founder/co-Artistic Director of InViolet Theater. His plays have been produced in New York and Atlanta, and his short fiction has appeared in The Best of Write Club, 12 Stories 12 Authors, and Deer Bear Wolf. 

Michael is currently working on his debut novel, a coming of age, amateur detective novel set in dark academia.

When he is not working on his novel, Michael produces and hosts The Origin Story Podcast where once a month he asks an artist he respects to introduce him to an artist or piece of work they love. The podcast resumes in September with bestselling author David Heska Wanbli Weiden.

Michael is a graduate of the Creative Writing MFA program at The Institute of American Indian Arts where he was mentored by Tommy Orange, Brandon Hobson, Kelli Jo Ford, and Chip Livingston. He is a citizen of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
